Staff

At Mentaur qualities we consider to be of significant merit in our staff are integrity, optimism, empathy, professionalism and learning agility. We look to employ people who treat others with dignity and respect.

All staff will automatically be CRB and POVA checked and no staff member will commence employment until the results of these checks are satisfactorily returned.

During the induction programme, based on the Skills for Care training format, staff will become familiar with Mentaur’s policies, procedures and guidelines as well as the Employee Handbook, and will then move to the probationary period of their employment.

All staff employed by Mentaur are encouraged to enrol in and supported to complete a NVQ or other care-related qualification, and should do so within 6 months of joining the company.

All staff will have formal supervision with their line manager at least 6 monthly.

All staff will have a training needs analysis and receive training in all statutory areas and also in relation to the particular needs of the persons they will be supporting.
