Highfield

Highfield is a small specialist care home for adults with learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder and mental health needs. Our specialist expertise in these areas feeds into staff training, the person-centred support plans and the overall management of the home.

The home provides a service for adults of either sex seeking to improve their independent living skills and are encouraged to aim to move on to more independent forms of living. For those unable or unwilling to do so the home is able to provide a medium or long term care and support service.

Dinning room

Being situated just adjacent to Northampton town centre and all possible community amenities, Highfield enables true community exposure and living with all their attendant benefits for personal growth and development. The ethos of the home is always to encourage people who live with us to act independently and make decisions that affect their lives.

All accommodation is provided in single rooms with a nice sized garden to the rear.

Garden

The home serves as a base for day opportunities and is also able to give access to Mentaur Day Opportunities Resource Centre in Kingsthorpe.

At Highfield you will be able to:

	Live in a home independently and be supported by staff who work with a person- centred approach		Have your personalised timetable of opportunities
	Engage in new activities and socialise with others		Have access to day opportunities where you will be able to develop your interests
	Receive support with advocacy to tackle any barriers you may face or with any other issue of your choice		Meet with other users of your service weekly to share views and make changes
	Get help with education or finding employment		Have easy access to public transport and green areas
