Highfield

Highfield is a warm and welcoming small home for adults with learning difficulties and a moderate degree of associated problems. situated close to the town centre of Northampton and its associated innumerable amenities, the house promotes independence and active community living.

The house itself is of ample proportions with a cosy, homely feel. It offers six residential places, all in large and sunny single bedrooms, which we encourage to be moulded to the service user’s needs.

There is easy access from all major roads including the M1 as well as the main railway line to London (Euston) and the North.

Supportive Care for Service Users

At Highfield, the manager is supported by positive, trained and highly motivated staff group. This enables a caring and safe environment for individuals to develop to their optimum social, emotional, and intellectual potential.

We encourage people who live with us to act independently and make decisions that affect their own lives.

A full day opportunities service is available to all service users who are not otherwise engaged.

A full social life, coupled with an active day programme gives meaning and develops skills, while allowing personal time and space.

Given the wide spectrum of needs cared for, Mentaur places special emphasis on staff training and satisfaction. We support staff to constantly improve their skill base and, when necessary effectively manage complex situations.
